Weld Your Own Steel Planter Box

Description

$265.00 4 Hours / Session Single Session Beginner In-Person Class Materials: Included

Sunset Park in Brooklyn

Weld your own steel planter box in this beginner-friendly welding class in Industry City, Brooklyn. No experience is needed. You’ll get hands-on time with an actual MIG welder and grinder, guided step by step by instructors who explain each stage clearly and offer plenty of encouragement along the way.

You’ll begin with an introduction to the equipment and safety gear before preparing and shaping raw steel to make a small planter box, welding the pieces together, and grinding the seams. Welding can feel intimidating when you have never stepped into a metal workshop, but that is part of what makes this class so exciting. With close guidance, you’ll safely handle powerful tools that most people never imagine using and watch your planter take shape through your own work.

Once the planter is assembled, you can personalize it with an etching tool or leave the steel simple and minimal. All tools, materials, and protective gear are included, so all you need to bring is yourself. You’ll leave with a finished steel planter built entirely by you, ready to hold a plant, organize small items, or display at home.
