In this hands-on intuitive painting workshop, participants will engage with guided prompts, gentle warm-up exercises, and a variety of materials to explore the creative process without the need for a predetermined plan or final image. Open to everyone—from curious beginners to experienced artists—the workshop fosters creative exploration, personal growth, and a more enjoyable, relaxed approach to making art.

Through individualized guidance, participants will be encouraged to move beyond familiar habits, let go of rigid expectations, and approach the creative process with curiosity and openness. Emphasizing process over outcome, the workshop provides a supportive environment for experimentation, self-discovery, and the exploration of new creative possibilities. As the work unfolds, participants are invited to trust the process, embrace uncertainty, and allow unexpected discoveries to inform and enrich their artistic expression.

Cancellation Policy

We aim to be fair to both learners and instructors while ensuring artists and studios are paid for their work. This policy helps ensure instructors and studios are compensated for their time and preparation. We encourage learners to review class details carefully before booking and to reach out with any questions in advance.

Some classes have a class-specific cancellation, refund, or credit policy. If applicable, it will be listed in the class description and will apply where it differs from the general policy below. Please review the full class description before booking.

Tickets are refundable if canceled at least 7 days before the event. If you cancel, a cancellation fee equal to the payment processing cost for the transaction, approximately 3% of the booking total, will be deducted from your refund.

If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to give your ticket to a friend. Please have them check in using your name.

In the rare case that the event does not meet minimum participation requirements, we’ll contact ticket holders at least 48 hours in advance with the option to reschedule or receive a refund, excluding the nonrefundable payment processing cost.

Your Instructor

Callie Danae Hirsch is an American painter and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. In the classroom, she fosters an environment of active exploration, creativity, and strong encouragement, supporting students as they develop confidence in their own artistic voices. She earned a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design and an MA in Environmental Art from New York University. Drawing on a lifelong engagement with the natural world, Callie’s work serves as a space for introspection, connection, and discovery. Through her practice, she translates personal experience into a shared visual language rooted in curiosity and observation.

Callie brings a warm, relaxed teaching style that immediately puts participants at ease. She begins each class with tension-release exercises to help everyone settle in and connect creatively. Her sessions foster a supportive, playful atmosphere where participants learn together, encourage one another, and enjoy the process as much as the finished piece. By the end of the experience, each participant leaves with a handmade creation of their own — and an eagerness to keep exploring and learning.
